Education is a necessary evil for it has become a system of producing a product rather than concerning the process of production. Here, producing an outcome is necessary but at the same time, not teaching the apt manner of doing something has turned it into evil! Today, education is trying to manufacture cogs with the machine that we have built. Unfortunately, the children are acting as a fuel where each of them has assigned slots to function well. The mechanical way of doing everything has left the world as a driving engine. And we all are together keeping the engine going. But, what about the humanity and emotions which the students of the present generation are lacking for the sake of climbing the ladder of success? Well, the future of jobs and employment are being replaced by robots. In the era of machine learning, possessing a qualitative education is the need of the hour and hence, what we must have is an ideal education system. Have you ever wondered that, with such an educational system and standard of Higher education, how far will we be able to secure ourselves at a positive side of the world?
Probably, in the upcoming years, there must be a change in this system. Scholars are continuously evaluating the loopholes prevailing in the educational system in the present scenario. The course curriculum of schools and colleges is revised every year and new ideas and greater visions are added. So, the bitter realization is dawning on everyone; the realization of the problems which might be created by 2030 whether in the field of job or entrepreneurship ideas.
A student entering higher education today must be making decisions about their career by 2030. But, in a dearth of the skills and pragmatic knowledge in their specific fields, they would do nothing but repent. So, I believe the 2030s would come up with a completely reformed educational system that would be focusing on the holistic development of a student rather than teaching them ways to earn living with degrees and certifications, which is no longer going to work in future.
The class of 2030 would be a paradigm of life-learning lessons, where classroom studies wouldn’t be monologues anymore but a perfect blend of conversation between a mentor and a mentee.
COLLABORATIVE EDUCATION
Collaborating Learning Offers Students a new opportunity to learn from their teachers and provides teachers with a way to engross their students in the real-time learning process, rendering personalized feedback from each student. Learning to thrive in collaborative environments supports the development of both cognitive as well as non-cognitive skills. This also allows teachers to impart on-demand content which matches and is relevant to every individual student.
THE INCREASE IN THE ROLE OF TECHNOLOGY
The critical role of technology can enhance the teaching-learning process along with saving ample time in delay or procrastination in understanding the topics by students. The use of technology can personalize the learning drive inclusivity and promote an immerse learning experience. The online mode of teaching via different platforms is assisting the disengaged to be engaged and learn at their own pace.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
AI gives schools and teachers new ways to understand students. Applying AI and Machine learning modern techniques can help in analyzing student’s learning time, real-time information, and recommend actions based on an algorithm. For instance, Avatarion; a Swiss company that builds robots, namely Avatar, renders absent students to be mentally present in the class with full video and audio connectivity.
EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
Emotional Intelligence or EQ is a completely new cognitive skill, on the way to be an integral part of an ideal education system by 2030. EQ is the key to both personalized and professional skills development platforms.
The development of socio-economic skills, not merely assists in professional lives but also makes one’s life happier and healthier. Hence, for an ideal educational system, EQ becomes equally significant as IQ.
The expected number of colleges by 2030will reach 550000 as projected by the U.S.and the number of students pursuing higher studies will be doubled. The use of digitalization will be far higher, the scenario will change, the gap between reel and real studies will be bridged and the one with in-depth knowledge and relevant skills will be the only one to secure jobs and have an entrepreneurial mindset in the coming more complex and competitive world ahead. Indeed, knowledge will rule.
